Gent - Coupure
Pilates is a body strengthening routine, it increases agility by strengthening long, lean muscles. It increases strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips and back. The emphasis lies in correcting the spine-hip posture to reduce stress and breathing for a good oxygen supply to the muscles.
The Pilates' flexiblility system ensures that the exercises can be adapted according to the increse of difficulty. This allows beginners and experts to perform the same exercice although with a different level of difficulty. In this way, the intensity and difficulty increases as the practitioner progresses.
Aims of the exercises:
- The exercises strengthen and stretch muscles and deep stabilizers to optimize and improve our posture.
- The correct use of breathing plays a big role. And breathing exercises combined with the fitness exercises that focus on the overall balance have provide a symbiosis between body and mind. This increases the confidence both physically and mentally.
- A performance increase in this way (strength, flexibility, etc..) is only available when training in this method. The performance increases smoothly and every practitioner can increase his level at his own pace.
