Climbing is becoming more and more popular for a reason. You don’t just need strength and endurance, but also technique and agility. This ensures climbing is a very well-rounded sport.
At Stadium Coupure in Ghent, both beginners and advanced climbers can experience a fun and challenging climbing session together.
Experienced climbers who already have a Stadium Coupure climbing card can enjoy our climbing wall at any moment during our opening hours. Beginners can join our Climbing Initiation.
Starting with wall climbing?
We’ll show you how to take your first vertical steps during our Climbing Initiation on Monday and Wednesday evening.
During this class, you’ll learn everything there is to know about safety and technique. If our climbing coach thinks you possess adequate knowledge and skills after this initiation, you’ll receive a Stadium climbing card with which you can climb without guidance during our opening hours.

In our fully equipped climbing room, you’ll find lots of climbing routes for all different levels of experience. Whether you’re a newbie or an advanced climber, you’ll always meet with a new challenge.
Climbing skills Certificate 1
Are you completely enticed by climbing and want to further develop your skills? Then join an extra course with a trainer from climbing club Vertical Thinking on Wednesday evening.
Spread over two classes of three hours each, you will learn all rope skills and knowledge that are necessary to obtain a Climbing skills Certificate 1. For more information regarding dates and subscriptions, please check out the Vertical Thinking website.
Wall climbing in group?

Don't worry if you don't have your own climbing material: all necessary equipment can be rented at Stadium Coupure. Be sure to bring your own (comfortable) workout shoes.
